Grace Notes - an outreach ensemble

Founded in 2025 by Janet Palmer, Grace Notes, an outreach ensemble of

Hagerstown Choral Arts featuring sopranos and altos, promotes the value of communal

singing in the community. This group currently comprises 12 members and presents half

hour live music programs spanning contemporary and folk genres. The Grace Notes

perform at senior facilities, for the ARC, at community centers and civic organization

meetings, fostering communal singing in settings where it is seldom experienced and

providing free choral concerts to populations who may not otherwise have access to this

beautiful music. As we conclude our second year, we remain committed to advancing

the positive impact of communal singing for our community.
